Register for a permit and enlist your fleet of vehicles
Share location data per City requirements
Automated billing only for the time and space your vehicles use
Rates and Billing
Upfront cost of permit: $3 / vehicle/ year
Parking rate: $0.03 per minute
(City standard rate of $2/ hour, but you only pay for the time you use)
Billing period: Quarterly
Where can you park without paying the meter?
All paid parking zones in the City of Oakland will be covered by this permit. Never get another ticket for failing to pay for parking!
About Populus
Populus is a mobility data aggregation company that provides tools to help cities to better understand and visualize vehicle location information to improve safety, sustainability and equity. Populus has been under contract since 2019 in the City of Oakland to provide these services and will be ingesting data and processing payments on behalf of the City for their mobility permit programs.
